things that marked 2015 for me

This was an incredible year for me, and it was just as exhausting, and looking back now - it feels like it was three years packed into one. It was a milestone year for me, not in a big and glamorous way - a gradual change of things and behaviors not so obvious to other people, but significant to me, is what left the biggest mark. I don't have the intention of doing a retrospective here - honestly these are not the things you'd find interesting. Instead, I decided to highlight small things that marked my year in one way or the other.

1. A PHOTO
Sadly, I didn't get to spend much time behind the camera this year. But there was that one occasion when I said 'we are doing this photoshoot no matter what' and I'm glad we did. It was our anniversary shoot, you know, when I forgot how my camera works at all. Fun story and the photos I really really love.

2. THE NEWS
There were many tiny little victories this year, and there was this (bigger) one that made me so excited I wanted to tell everyone - I became a web journalist for Harper's BAZAAR Serbia. It's an honor, and it's so humbling to be given an opportunity like that.

3. THE BOOK
I'm ashamed to say, but besides the professional literature (sigh) I didn't really have time to read as much as I'd like to, but I still managed to steal some time and dive into some amazing books. Two of them were Bukowski's - 'Women' and 'Ham on Rye', the latter one being my favorite. His writings are so raw and honest and bursting with pure emotions, so now I finally understand the hype. Also, I realized there are far better Bukowski quotes than those excessively shared all over Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. If only people bothered to actually read the books...

These days are so weird and confusing. One moment I feel so incredibly inspired and motivated, and just a few hours later I feel completely drained, and all I want is to sleep this tiredness away until I feel like human being again. However, I use those inspired moments as much as I possibly can, I make plans and lists, and write down ideas, I dream and work to make those dreams a reality. There is so much I want to do, and me being me, I want to do everything at the same time, so it takes lots of discipline to keep myself from doing that. Step by step is the way to go. Time flies by too fast anyway, so the future I dream of will arrive in a blink of an eye.
Stay inspired!
Love,
A.

One of my favorite ensembles lately - and worn this way exactly! Toned down with sneakers and sports shirt, because that's what my inner tomboy demands! This isn't me blindly following the trend, this is current trend doing me a favor <3
P.S. That ice cream, as lovely as it looks, is the most disgusting thing I have ever tried - I don't like the real watermelon, and the watermelon flavor is like ten times worse. But it does make a pretty requisite!

Sail away

It's amazing how the city you grew up in, can suddenly seem so new and fresh and charming. How waking up early in the Saturday morning (even though you love to sleep in on the weekends) to explore hidden corners of your town, relax and just take time for yourself can bring so much positive energy. All of a sudden everything looks different, tastes different, sounds different. The only difference is, actually, in your attitude...
Stay positive, and have a lovely Monday! <3

I don't mind the messy hair ruined by the wind..
I don't mind the black and navy... or the silver and gold.. who cares
I don't mind my lipstick being ruined by the most delicious ice cream...
I don't mind my newly developed hay fever and puffy eyes...
Just let there be more weekends like the one that's behind us!

This is the outfit that makes me feel so cool! I invisioned wearing these pants with crisp white sneakers, and turns out they're the perfect match. Elegance toned down with a sporty touch is just what I'm into right now. Hope you like!

This has been my uniform lately, for the days when I feel too exhausted to wear fancy clothes (which is most days lately). However, comfortable doesn't have to mean plain and boring - that's what animal print cardigans are for!

Normcore.
Detail-free. Anti-style. Céline effect?

Normcore doesn't want the freedom to become someone. Normcore moves away from a coolness that relies on difference to a post-authenticity that opt into sameness. Normcore says, 'I have soul and intelligence. I'm unique and I don't need to shout about it.'

#adidassuperstar

So I gave in to this Superstar trend. Honestly, it was only a matter of time (when my paycheck will arrive haha). As much as I love high heels and a good pair of boots - sneakers hold a special place in my heart. It goes back to my childhood days, and spans over high school and uni days, to this day. Ever since I can remember, it was a ritual for me - choosing a model for the season and then urging my parents to buy them or saving up if it's a really special and expensive pair of kicks. And I would wear them with almost everything. While the other girls were all about ballerina flats and sandals, sneakers were my thing. I considered them to be so incredibly cool, I still do. They compliment my style because, even when I dress up - I like to add a detail that will tone it down, so the result is laid back, cool and 'undone' outfit. Like cigarette pants and a blazer with sneakers. Just as I like it.
It's not about comfort - it's a lifestyle for me!
